Submission Guidelines:
Any scholar or researcher committed to QRCA is invited to make a submission to the conference – as long as the study is qualitative, reflective of the critical or interpre-tive paradigm of social research.

1. Full Paper Presentations: Authors can submit papers of up to 20.000 words (Mi-crosoft Word file). Papers which are fairly advanced will be considered. PhD students whose thesis is near completion may also submit a full paper.

2. Research Forum: Authors can submit working papers or summaries – up to 5.000 words (Microsoft Word file). For the forum, the conference organizers will expect to receive research projects that are not completed but that present a high degree of originality.

3. Graduate students’ project: Students can submit a 1.500-word summary of their thesis or dissertation proposal (file in Microsoft Word format), specifying at which stage is their PhD or Master (for how many years has the student been enrolled in the program). Graduate students (PhD and Research Master) whose the-sis/dissertation is not near completion are welcomed to attend the Graduate stu-dents’ seminar – as long as their research interests are clearly positioned under qualitative, interpretive or critical approaches.

Language for submissions: Note that given its international flavor, submissions to the QCAR Conference may be written in Portuguese, Spanish, English and French. If the paper is ac-cepted, the organizing committee recommends that the slides during the presentation were written in English, in order to increase comments from the international audience. The lan-guages spoken during the conference will be Portuguese, Spanish, French, and English. Some activities will have a simultaneous translation support.

Autores que submetem a esta conferência concordam com os seguintes termos:
a) Autores mantém os direitos autorais sobre o trabalho, permitindo à conferência colocá-lo sob uma licença Licença Creative Commons Attribution, que permite livremente a outros acessar, usar e compartilhar o trabalho com o crédito de autoria e apresentação inicial nesta conferência.
b) Autores podem abrir mão dos termos da licença CC e definir contratos adicionais para a distribuição não-exclusiva e subseqüente publicação deste trabalho (ex.: publicar uma versão atualizada em um periódico, disponibilizar em repositório institucional, ou publicá-lo em livro), com o crédito de autoria e apresentação inicial nesta conferência.
c) Além disso, autores são incentivados a publicar e compartilhar seus trabalhos online (ex.: em repositório institucional ou em sua página pessoal) a qualquer momento antes e depois da conferência.
